Eva Yazhari describes herself as a seasoned and visionary investor, author and entrepreneur brining key business skills as well as meaning, purpose and consciousness to her career and each of her endeavours.
She was part of the founding team that raised and invested over $5 billion into Wall Street's top hedge funds, and built an impact investment fund impacting the lives of 8.3 million low income individuals through market based solutions.
Over 16 years, Eva worked in the venture capital and asset management industries.
She combined this financial acumen with her passion for contributing beyond herself to be Co-Founder and CEO of Beyond Capital Fund, a social impact fund investing in for-profit social enterprises throughout India and East Africa. It is an early stage investment fund that improves lives with its early investments. Led by conscious leadership, it offers a diversified portfolio of Seed & Series A comapnies in “need-to-have” sectors, such as healthcare, financial inclusion, clean energy, sanitation, and food security. Eva herself has worked directly with over 20 entrepreneurs in the start-up stage. Now, she is the General Partner at Beyond Capital Ventures.
Having grown to a global brand, Beyond Capital was named by Ventureburn as one of 12 venture investors to know in Africa. Further, Beyond Capital stands out for its unique communications strategy to reach a wide audience for impact investing.
The portfolio of Beyond Capital improves the lives of a growing 16 million low-income individuals, including investments in Kasha, a technology-driven e-commerce women's health company in East Africa; and Frontier Markets, a fast-growing distribution business providing goods and services for consumers living throughout rural India. Beyond Capital partners with pioneering firm Proof of Impact to independently verify and track the growth of outcome-linked metrics, ensuring transparent impact measurement.
She also serves on corporate boards, including Frontier Markets and an observer seat at Karma Healthcare, as well as The Barnard College Athena Leadership Council at her alma mater Barnard College and the Young Presidents’ Organization Personal Investing Network Executive Committee, where she co-leads the YPO Impact Investing Initiative..
She was Vice President at EnTrust Capital, fromn 2004-2009. She founded The Conscious Investor, a weekly magazine focusing on the impact investing world, in 2019. She was also a Board Observer at FreshR, Redwing Labs
Eva strives in the field of impact investing and regularly speaks publicly. She recently interviewed on goop, and she co-hosts The Beyond Capital Podcast where she interviewed more than 50 purpose-driven leaders.
She is a panelist at numerous family office conferences as well as SOCAP and the Skoll World Forum. Her work has been recognized by Cheddar, Entrepreneur, Forbes, goop, Impact Alpha, Thrive Global, and Ventureburn, among others. She is also a member of The Wing and The Conduit Club and Toniic.
In 2021, Eva published her first book, The Good Your Money Can Do, a book for anyone who wants to combine money, meaning and purpose.
She was born in New York City to working artist parents, and spend her time between Dallas, Los Angeles, and London. She holds a BA in Mathematics from the Barnard College.
