Arizona Muse is a model and climate activist. Arizona was born in Tuscon, 1988, into a family of an English former-model mother and American father. She started out modeling when she was a teenager but her career began around 2009 with an incredible rise to the top in her profession. Her major breakthrough was in 2011 when she was the cover of Vogue. She has fronted campaigns for the fashion industry’s top brands such as Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Saint Laurent, and Prada. Arizona stands out in using her profile to raise awareness of climate change, and the need for change in the fashion industry and beyond. She turned her instagram account to purely educational purposes. Arizona advocated for better environmental practices through various partnerships such as with Chopard, G-Star Raw, Mango, and London's V&A Museum.
In 2018, she launched a sustainable label with Georgie Macintyre, former artistic director of Matthew Williamson. In 2019, she founded the Arizona Muse Sustainability Consultancy which helps fashion brands to go through the regenerative and sustainable transition by promoting social impact, positive changes and reducing their environmental footprint.
She is also an activist working with Individual Representation & Management (IRM), a global strategic advisory firm based in London, and a Fashion Model with DNA Model Management since 2017, and with Premier Model Management since 2019.
On the side, she is an ambassador for Women for Women and Synchronicity Earth, an advisory board member for The Sustainable Angle, a non-profit organization that supports projects in the fashion industry who work to minimize environmental impacts. Arizona is also the Ocean’s ambassador for Greenpeace and global advocate for sustainability at Aveda. She contributes to Fashion Revolution, a team of business leaders, policymakers and brands who aim to change fashion industrys’ sourcing, production and consumption of clothing. Arizona protested alongside Extinction Rebellion, the socio-political movement to trigger government action on the climate crisis and biodiversity loss. Arizona is also part of the nominated BoF 500, the index of people shaping the vast fashion industry.
She also runs a blog called Bmusing with her husband, Boniface Verney-Carron, an osteopath from France. They live together in London with their two children.
We are incredibly proud and pleased to have Arizona as the judge for the Food & Agriculture category at our TTI Global Impact Awards.
